40,000 SF Plano Distribution Center: Failed Line Striping Replaced with Forklift-Ready Epoxy
A 40,000 square foot distribution center in Plano had walkway and aisle striping that was fading badly and was poorly installed the first time. We removed all of it, installed an epoxy floor with a high-traffic urethane finish and put down new line striping, built for forklift traffic and daily use, in about two weeks.

The Challenge
This 40,000 square foot distribution center in Plano had pedestrian walkway and aisle striping that was fading badly. It had been poorly installed the first time, and under daily forklift traffic it was wearing off and no longer marking the walkways clearly.
Faded lines are more than a looks problem in a working warehouse. The lines tell forklift drivers and people on foot where each belongs, and when they fade, that separation goes with them.

Our Approach
We removed all of the old striping instead of painting over it. Coating on top of a failing line only hides the problem until the new layer comes up with the old one.
With the old markings gone, we prepared the concrete and installed an epoxy floor with a high-traffic urethane finish on the walkways, then put down new line striping. The urethane topcoat is what takes the wear from forklift tires and daily foot traffic.
The epoxy and line striping took about two weeks, phased so the building could keep running.

The Result
The facility now has clean, clearly marked walkways and aisles built to hold up to forklift traffic and daily use, instead of striping that wears off.
If your warehouse lines are fading, peeling or were never put down right, we can remove them and put down a floor and markings that last. Send us a layout or a few photos to get started.
