Clean, coated floor in an automated electronics manufacturing line

Semiconductor & Electronics Flooring

Static-control and cleanroom flooring for electronics and semiconductor plants, built to your process engineer's requirements and tested before turnover.

What Flooring Does Electronics Manufacturing Need?

In electronics manufacturing, a static discharge can ruin a component before anyone notices. The floor is part of the grounding path, so it has to match your static-control program, not just carry an ESD label. Cleanrooms and wet-process areas add their own demands.

We work from your engineering requirements, test for moisture, prep the slab with diamond grinding, and install conductive or static-dissipative epoxy, cleanroom finishes and chemical-resistant linings. Static-control floors are tested before turnover so you know they perform.

Legacy Industrial Coatings installs commercial and industrial epoxy flooring, polished concrete and floor coatings from Plano, Texas, across Dallas–Fort Worth, all of Texas and nationwide. See our commercial and industrial epoxy flooring and polished concrete pages.

Serving Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, Carrollton, Lewisville and the rest of North Texas, plus Houston, Austin, San Antonio and projects across Texas and nationwide.

Where We Work in the Plant

Assembly and ESD protected areas

Conductive or static-dissipative epoxy that carries static safely to ground, installed and tested to your spec.

Cleanroom circulation

Smooth, seamless resin floors that do not shed particles and stand up to frequent cleaning.

Wet process and acid rooms

Chemical-resistant linings, often novolac epoxy, chosen for the specific acids and solvents in use.

Trenches and sumps

Linings that carry the chemical protection down into the collection points where spills end up.

Walls and room transitions

Integral cove base and clean transitions between controlled rooms and general areas.

Specs & Data Sheets

Static-Control Systems We Install

For data halls, electrical rooms and electronics lines we install Sherwin-Williams Resuflor static-control flooring. System overviews, application instructions and guide specs are below.

Resuflor Topcoat SDU

A nominal 20 mil static-dissipative epoxy and urethane system. Per the manufacturer, it tests at 1×10⁵ to 1×10⁹ ohms under ANSI/ESD S20.20 with body voltage under 100 volts.

Resuflor Topcoat SD

A thin-mil static-control epoxy topcoat with a stipple finish. Conductive over a conductive primer, static-dissipative over a standard epoxy primer.

Resuflor Deco Flake SD

A high-gloss, static-dissipative flake floor: vinyl chips in an epoxy base, sealed with an abrasion-resistant polyurethane.

FAQ

Semiconductor & Electronics Flooring Questions

What is the difference between conductive and static-dissipative?

Both move static to ground. Conductive floors move it faster and suit the most sensitive areas. Static-dissipative floors move it at a slower, controlled rate. Your static-control program decides which one each room needs, and we install and test to that requirement.

Does the floor work with normal shoes?

Not fully. An ESD floor works together with heel straps or ESD footwear, which complete the path from the person to the floor. We coordinate with your team so the floor and the footwear are built to the same requirement.

Can you work in a running plant?

Yes. We isolate work zones, control dust, and use night and weekend crews so production lines and cleanroom areas stay protected while each section is finished. We agree on boundaries and return-to-service times with your team before we start.

What drives the cost of electronics flooring?

The type of static control, how much chemical-resistant lining is needed, the condition of the slab, testing requirements and how the work is phased. Send us your plans for a full bid within 24 hours, or request a site walk within 1 to 3 business days.
